8, 16, 39 months and counting…
My adorable yet destructive son Jayden was born on Haloween night 2007 – hence his nickname “Jaydenator” (given by his Aunt Clara). Looking back, so much has changed since his birth, all for the better! Eventhough it means that I’ve had to let go of our semi-thriving retail business, have sleepless nights (yes, until now he still wakes up in the middle of the night), have 10 tonnes of laundry and ironing each day – which happens to be my favourite chores, and never ever have a clean house anymore, and Oh – become fully addicted to browsing, learning, listening, reading, shopping and anything to do with kids!
That’s me, Kelen - I live in Sydney, I love to research, I love bargains, I love to travel, I love my family and I love kids.
My older sister, Caroline, who lives in Perth is the opposite of me. She loves to stay home and spend her days with her 2 beautiful and bright kids Stella ‘39 months’ and Jake ‘8 months’. She’s the adventurous cook, the creative Art and Crafter, the Reader, the part-time Gardener (only watering the plants to keep it alive) and shopping is definitely not one of her hobbies.
My other sister, Clara, who is also in Sydney is the little baby in our family. Not married – in a steady long-distance relationship, so obviously no babies yet. She has been a babysitter to our kids at times, which means that she’s almost qualified to talk about kids too! She is an architect in the making, she loves to design, she loves her many friends and she loves her many many shoes.
So with this blog we hope to share our ups and downs, joys in raising boys and girls, share about our big and extended family, our travel with kids, and anything else in between.

go for it, looking forward,
regards, VR

Yes, it was and is hard to cope, but we have moved on, and thank God for where we are now. I thought that it’d take years and years to move on, but God certainly helps us moving faster
